British as colonial empire incessantly looted one of the richest countries in the world for 200 years. They left India in poverty. 90% people living under poverty. No growth of any aspect, only increasing Texes.

In name of free trade , british came in and they destroy the free trade that made india leading exporting textile. The British soldier smash the looms that people can't practice aircraft. They imposes duties and Tex on exports ,on clothes and on chief market on point of gun. That is not free market trade. Thus textile systematically destroyed by british empire.

British industrial revolution actually a form of de - industrialization of india. System of taking row materials from india and shifting manufactured clothes to world trade center.all profits and benefits of their only.

British flourished textile company in India by ' made in India ' hallmark of high quality. That is private profit of English and public risk of Indian.
